It's super simple! click the sign up button on your home page or direct message @abigibbsacademy on instagram or Abi Gibbs Academy on Facebook. Fill out the form and you will receive a message from our admin team to confirm your free trial.
After the free trial week, if your child has enjoyed the classes attended, you will be sent our starter forms and added to our group chat where all updates are.
For the trial lesson, we recommend that your child wears clothing that is comfortable and allows movement. After the trial lesson, if you decide to formally register your child, the school's uniform may be purchased directly from the school or on our website where you can find an order form. Shoes for tap or ballet are purchased in Footlights store.
We stay open through half terms but we do close over Easter, Summer and Christmas break to ensure children have the opportunity to rest. You will be sent a letter with all term dates on when your child formally signs up to the school.
We do holiday camps and half term workshops if children would like things to do over the holidays. Please see website page 'Holiday camps' for more information.
Examinations (through the Royal Academy of Dance and the ISTD) are offered to all pupils who take tap, ballet and modern classes throughout the week. Children are selected based on ability, attendance and commitment to practise. These exams are not mandatory. The school believes students should be able to express themselves, their talents and feel a sense of achievement through the examination process. However, we would in no way, hold any child back in their development should they choose not to take the examinations.
